Tons of Labor Day 2024 sales for you across North Jersey

Labor Day is less than a week away, and school is nearly upon us. Parents are in the throes of back-to-school shopping for their kids. That means it’s time to find deals with Labor Day sales across North Jersey.

Retail sales across the nation grew in July, according to recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau, highlighting a potential demand by consumers. 

“The midsummer boost from back-to-school and college spending along with special deal days offered by retailers clearly helped,” said Jack Kleinhenz, an economist with the National Retail Federation, a trade group.

With Labor Day come deals and discounts, spanning North Jersey malls, online giants such as Amazon, and big-box stores from Target to Walmart.

Some of the deals have already begun, and others occur just on Labor Day itself, which falls on Monday, Sept. 2. 

We found some of the best Labor Day deals across North Jersey and beyond. 

American Dream, East Rutherford

Stores at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford are offering back-to-school shopping deals that run through Labor Day weekend and into early September. 

For example, Vans is offering 30% off a backpack with the purchase of a pair of shoes, while Levi’s is offering 50% off select purchases and Apple is offering gift cards of up to $150. 

Rockaway Townsquare and The Shops at Riverside

At Rockaway Townsquare through Sept. 4, Michael Kors is offering 20% off select styles.

Pandora is offering free bracelets with select purchases of up to $290, at both Rockaway Townsquare and The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack.  

The Mall at Short Hills, Essex County

Kate Spade is offering up to 40% off select purchases through Sept. 2. Wolford is offering up to 10% on savings through Sept. 2, Tempur-Pedic is offering up to $700 off on select mattresses through Sept. 10, and Lovesac is offering 30% off Sac Bundles through Sept. 22. 

Many online and brick-and-mortar retailers are offering a slew of deals through Labor Day weekend.
